Jewellery brand Clogau has championed its Welsh heritage by revealing a new ambassador.
The jeweller has confirmed that Welsh soprano, Elin Manahan Thomas, is teaming up with the brand to promote its growing range of jewellery.
Since releasing her début album ‘Eternal Light’ in 2007, with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Manahan Thomas has performed at many of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals, and with leading orchestras and conductors.
The new brand ambassador shares: “When I was growing up, Clogau was a company to be proud of, home-grown, beautiful, and exquisite. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to wear Clogau jewellery. To me, their pieces exude quality, care and craftsmanship.
“But more than that, they convey an emotion. Over the years, I’ve gifted pendants to family and friends to celebrate birthdays and good news, and to bring good luck, and I’ve been given stunning Clogau earrings and a ring as anniversary gifts. Wearing this jewellery makes any occasion special, and I’m delighted and honoured to be a Clogau ambassador.”
Sonia Menezes, head of brand development at Clogau, adds:: “We’re so pleased to welcome Elin to our wonderful group of Clogau ambassadors.
“There’s so much fabulous talent in Wales and we’re proud to work alongside an artist of Elin’s calibre.”
Thomas sang for His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales at the opening of Swansea University’s new campus in July 2016, and is performing at the royal wedding of HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
