Welsh jewellery brand Clogau is increasing its international footprint in 2017 by opening its first standalone boutique in an airport.
On Friday April 28 2017 Clogau will open new doors at Manchester Airport, Terminal 2, where it will showcase 9ct and sterling silver jewellery from its best selling collections.
Clogau experienced steady growth both domestically in the UK and in travel retail in 2016/17, now with six standalone boutiques in the UK. The brand is going from strength to strength in the airline channel, with new listings on Thomson Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines & Monarch. In addition the cruise channel remains strong for Clogau, with new listings on Thomson Cruises as well as the opening of the brands first cruise ship boutique onboard P&O Britannia.
Talking about the opening of the new store Aran Turner, international customer service manager, Clogau, comments: “Building on the momentum from a strong finish to Q1 in 2017, we are delighted to start Q2 with the brands first standalone airport boutique. Despite industry challenges, we’ve made fantastic progress over the past year and we see this airport boutique as the next step in enhancing our travel retail presence.
“We’ll be offering passengers tax free savings across our range, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for new and existing customers to purchase our jewellery with a genuine saving over the high street retail price.”
