CMJ expands membership as new jeweller joins ranks

The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has added a new company, Hope & Co, to its retailer membership ranks.

Hope & Co has one store in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, and offers an extensive diamond and precious jewellery collection, as well as leading watch and jewellery brands.

The business was established in December 2017 while the owners have many years of experience in the jewellery trade.

John Reid, director of Hope & Co Jewellers, added: “Having worked with the CMJ over a period of ten years as a supplier, I fully appreciate the benefits of being a retail member within the group.

“As part of Hope & Co’s strategic growth and with four years of strong trading under our belt I felt now was the right time to apply for membership.”

“We are looking forward to exploring new supplier opportunities whilst developing relationships with fellow retailers and our existing CMJ suppliers.

“We are also excited by the current leadership team at the CMJ and the overall direction of the group, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for such a warm welcome into the CMJ family.”

Amber Saunders, CMJ director of membership development, said: “Hope & Co is already working successfully with a number of CMJ suppliers.

“Their application was supported by strong references and the business has demonstrated growth over the past few years, so we believe they will be a great addition to the CMJ family.”
