The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has extended its Spring Trade Event offering, presenting visitors to the show with a full seminar programme, as well as introducing a number of key new suppliers to the group.

The seminar programme promises to educate and inspire retailers over the course of the two-day event, which will take place on February 16-17.

Lita Asscher, vice-president of the Royal Asscher Diamond Company and president of Royal Asscher America, will tell the story of six generation of diamonds and royalty. Meanwhile, Atelier Swarovski will be hosting a panel discussion about consumer demand for created diamonds and how they fit within the Swarovski group. The discussion will feature Liz Chatelain, president of Texas-based consumer and trade research company MVI Marketing, and Daxlove Grove, global vice president corporate sustainability and social responsibility at Swarovski, and Dr Michael Schlamadinger, head of procurement at Swarovski Gemstones.


The CMJ will also welcome Kerry Gregory, director of Gemmology Rocks, to talk about the value of investing in staff, as well as speakers covering a range of topics including security, e-commerce integration, ear-piercing, smartwatch technology and diamonds.

Furthermore, the CMJ has recently approved applications from a number of leading jewellery and watch suppliers, who will be making their debut to the group at its bi-annual show in February 2020. In addition to speaking at the event, Gemmology Rocks will also be exhibiting at the event as a newly approved supplier, as will Royal Asscher, who will be showcasing a replica of the sceptre from the Crown Jewels.

Also showing for the first time at a CMJ show are semi-precious and silver jewellery brand Manja Jewellery; Swiss brand Roamer Watches; Guardian Brands, the new exclusive distributor of Angel Whisperer from Englesrufer in the UK and Ireland; and jewellery packaging specialist Hatton & Spencer.
