Organisation proud to support industry’s “hot movers and shakers”.
The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has signed up as Principle Partner for the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 for the third consecutive year, cementing the partnership between the magazine and the UK’s biggest buying group.
The CMJ will work with Professional Jeweller on this year’s Hot 100 book, which will be unveiled in September, and the supporting party at which 2012’s 100 most influential and forward-thinking members of the jewellery industry will be celebrated.
CMJ chief executive Willie Hamilton said that the working with Hot 100 for a third year asserts the buying group’s position as a leader in the UK.
He added: “We are proud headline sponsors of the Hot 100 in 2012 because we passionately believe that in supporting the independent retail jeweller we support the entire jewellery industry in the UK.
“Being part of the Hot 100 since its inception is an important statement for us as a group of innovative retailers who look beyond our own individual business. Our members help and support their fellow CMJ retailers and suppliers but they also want to make a positive impact on the entire UK jewellery industry – something that will ultimately benefit us all.
“Without the quality independent jewellers on our high street, the jewellery marketplace would be a much poorer and less creative place. As part of our mission to ensure that independents survive and thrive in 2012 and beyond, we support the hot movers and shakers in our industry – from designers to business leaders and entrepreneurs.”
The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 launched in September 2010 at the Kensignton Roof Gardens in London and has since become an annual industry staple. Last year more than 700 guests attended the celebratory party at One Mayfair in London where the most recent list was unveiled.
The venue for the 2012 party is yet to be revealed but the magazine will continue its tradition of switching venues each year to keep the invite-only guests guessing.
