The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has prepared a free return to work pack for all of its members as retail jewellery stores in England plan to reopen from 15 June.
Each CMJ member has been offered a complimentary pack of three window decals, exclusively produced in association with CMJ supplier icatcha, which reinforce positive messaging as well as the social distancing rules that are set to remain in place in stores. These colourful butterfly designs have also been incorporated into a range of matching social media assets for members to post across their own platforms.
In addition to the free POS marketing package, the buying group has also produced a comprehensive Return to Work manual, which will be sent out to all members from this week. It features a host of information and guidance for businesses post-lockdown, including detail on personal protective equipment (PPE), risk assessments, social distancing measures, hygiene and staffing.
Managing director of the CMJ, Emmet Cummins, says: “It is at times like these when we can offer real support to independent businesses who might otherwise feel very isolated. We therefore wanted to ensure that no member faced the prospect of re-opening with no support.
“The marketing material has been really well received by our members, many of whom are already using it online, and we hope it will help them spread some positivity among consumers. The Return to Work manual we have produced provides a really thorough overview of some of the more practical considerations and steps that they will need to implement before re-opening, and we hope it will be a go-to reference document for any questions that may arise over the coming weeks and months.”
The CMJ has provided members with a range of support throughout lockdown, including weekly virtual networking sessions and an exclusive webinar programme. It has also produced a full PPE menu and offered financial assistance to its retailers by bringing forward its retrospective rebate, as well as freezing its membership fees for three months.
