Pearl specialist brand Claudy Bradby Jewellery has unveiled a sea-inspired offering for SS19, with a focus on captivating earring designs.
For the new collection titled ‘Seascape’, the pearl jewellery brand pays homage to the eponymous founder’s love of the sea, which she ascribes to being born by the coast.
As such, Seascape has been inspired by the mesmerising, reflective quality of the sea and its natural, regenerative power.
The pieces capture the play of light on water, the precious magic of our oceans and the treasures they offer.
The new range also focus on this season’s big jewellery trend – earrings – with a variety of innovative designs set to capture the consumer’s love for ear adornment.
“We have seen the trend for earrings grow this year, so SS19 is very focused on beautiful and interesting earring design, with an earring bar launching in late spring,” shares brand founder Claudia Bradby. “I have hammered elegant swoops of earrings with wonderfully baroque, mismatched pearl drops to give a sense of the originality of nature, and the current desire for more unusual pearls.”
“Added to this I have created delicate, shimmering discs, dotted with sweet ‘pearls of the sea’ accents to represent tiny shells and treasures of the sea. Simple sophistication, and desirability are at the heart of this collection, which I designed to a Van Morrison soundtrack on loop (the sea quote comes from his Into the Mystic song).”
