Italian jewellery brand Giovanni Raspini has been inspired by contemporary beauty for SS19.
Often drawn to the sea and animals, new pieces rediscover nature in silver forms.
The SS19 offer is mainly split into four lines: Nautilus, Panthera, Paillettes and the Mini Bowl.
Nautilus represents the mysterious and fascinating marine world. Elegant and figurative elements interplay harmoniously, thanks to the perfection of wax micro-sculptures that facilitate the creation of highly detailed pieces in silver. Corals, shells and anemones naturally incorporate the deep and iridescent blue of the noble opal interspersed with rock crystal. The collection comes alive in the form of a necklace, a pendant, bracelets, a ring and two pairs of earrings.
Light is the first thing that strikes in Panthera. Unlike many animalier jewels in burnished silver made by Giovanni Raspini, Panthera has a hand-hammered tubular element on which reclines a smooth and shiny silver feline. The contrast between the support and the animalier protagonist creates a striking yet elegant effect. The Panthera collection consists of a necklace, a pendant, bracelets and earrings.
As soon as it’s worn, Paillettes shows a sense of movement and great brightness. Composed of a myriad of small silver lenticular elements, the jewel is entirely handmade through the lost-wax casting technique. Paillettes has a harmonious look, wrapping the body like a second skin reflecting the light. The collection consists of a long line pendant, a necklace, bracelets, earrings and rings.
Last but not least the Mini Bowl collection offers a casual look as the pieces are made of small hammered silver balls available in eight different types. The jewel is inspired by the brand’s larger best-selling Super Bowl collection and, despite its more delicate size, retains all the brightness and elegance typical of the moon metal. The diverse collection mixes many variants – including lava stone combined with decorative elements – Mini Bowl is the bracelet for every wrist and many occasions.
