Professional Jeweller is excited to announce the opening of the sixth annual Collections of the Year awards, showcasing the best ranges launched in 2019 across 10 exciting categories

Perfectly placed to mark the close of 2019, the Collections of the Year celebrates the best-selling lines launched in the UK over the past 12 months.

The project takes into account the opinions of knowledgeable jewellery retail buyers, brand managers and key figures from the UK jewellery industry, rather than the end consumer, providing a clear guide of the most inspiring and commercial pieces of 2019.

Deciding the finalists and overall winner across 10 categories is a two part process which allows the entire trade to get involved. The first part of the process is to invite all industry professionals to have their say on which collections should be recognised across the following 10 categories:

Fashion Jewellery

Bridal Jewellery

Silver Jewellery

Men’s Jewellery

Pearl Jewellery

Personalised Jewellery

Emerging Brands

Ethical Jewellery

This process is open to all members of the industry, with retailers encouraged to highlight their bestselling collections of 2019 by nominating a range for each of the 10 categories applicable to their business. Similarly, brands and designer-makers will be able to nominate their own collections and those launched by their peers.

To nominate, simply download and fill out this form: Collections of the Year 2019 FORM

Alternatively you can email our editor at with the headline COTY 2019, and clearly state the name of the collection you are putting forward, and the category you believe it falls into. Please also provide evidence as to why this should be considered as a ‘Collection of the Year’, and a high res image of the range.

In each category, Professional Jeweller seeks to showcase cohesive collections that span a variety of pieces, including rings, earrings, necklaces, pendants and bracelets.

Editor Stacey Hailes comments: “The team were overwhelmed with nominations last year and we are really looking forward to seeing what collections are recommended for 2019 as it has certainly been an exciting year for jewellery design.

“If a collection has caught your eye at any of the trade shows taking place in the UK and internationally, and you want to sing its praises, now is the time to show your appreciation by nominating your favourite or bestselling ranges of the year. The nominations are open to all types of brands, from catwalk-centered and contemporary collections, to unbranded lines.

“We also want to hear which ranges have been your top-performing collections in the past 12 months.”

The deadline for entries is Friday, October 25 2019  giving all interested parties ample time to send their nominations to the team.

Collections that launched prior to January 1 2018 will not be considered.

After the deadline the Professional Jeweller team will analyse the results, and then posts the finalists online in November. The industry will then be asked to vote for the overall winners in a private survey.
