WINNER: Yoko London – Sleek

Approaching its 50th anniversary, Yoko London was founded by the Hakimian family in 1973 and specialises in pearl pieces in the bridal, fine and high jewellery categories.

Now a family-run business for three generations, the company sources its pearls from 13 different farms around the world, guaranteeing a wide variety of unusual and attractive options for customers.

This year Yoko London has pushed the boundaries of pearl jewellery design with bold, lightweight designs created to be worn on any occasion, ranging from the affordable and everyday to the most opulent on the market.

The Yoko London Sleek collection launched 23 brand new styles in May 2021, using high-quality akoya and freshwater pearls paired with diamonds.

These are featured in what the brand called fashion-forward designs. Already one of the company’s best-selling lines, the Sleek collection has cultivated a proven track record with Yoko London’s retailers.

Matt Aminoff London – Everyday Collection

Matt Aminoff’s Everyday collection features sets of earrings, pendants and rings available in 18ct yellow, white and rose gold. Each themed set combines gem-quality akoya pearls with diamonds in a range of unique designs, inspired by the latest trends in contemporary jewellery. In a medium price range and a small-to-medium size, each item comes with an affordable RRP, the company says, and has been designed for daily use.

Ora pearls – Pearl range

Ora Pearls, from pearl specialist and jewellery designer Bibi Southwell, launched in 2016. The designer hand-selects each pearl used and handcrafts every piece of jewellery the brand puts out, aiming for a design style somewhere between modern and classic. This year the brand has made additions to its lines across the product range, including its unusual pearl jewellery collection for men.

Ralph Lauren – Lauren Ralph Lauren

Stocked by the likes of Ernest Jones, Fenwick and Next, Lauren Ralph Lauren is a jewellery range from Ralph Lauren. November saw the launch of the new holiday collection from the Lauren line. It includes classic brand elements such as leather, emerald-cut stones and, of course, pearls. Other features of the collection include details like equestrian motifs, key-and-lock detailing, snake chain and classic link shapes.
