As David M Robinson continues with celebrations to mark it’s 50th anniversary, a selection of clients were invited to join the brand’s team at the inaugural DMR Golf Day, this September.
Hosted at the iconic Sunningdale Golf Club, teams of clients headed out on to the course to enjoy a round of golf, led by the retailer’s managing director, John Robinson, and general manager, Karl Irwin.
At a course often referred to as “the quintessential English club”, fifty players competed in the tournament, a number chosen in honour of DMR’s golden anniversary. Amongst the twelve teams were several famous faces, including comedian John Bishop and actor Gwilym Lee.
John Robinson comments: “Golf is a sport that runs through the heart of our business as it does with a number of the luxury brands with whom we enjoy a relationship. When planning a way to celebrate such a special anniversary with friends, the iconic Sunningdale Golf Club- steeped in sporting history- seemed the perfect place to start.”
Following completion of the course and as the sun began to set, guests joined DMR for a summer barbecue and prize presentation in the beautiful grounds of nearby Coworth Park, Ascot. Ahead of the start of the BMW PGA Championships at Wentworth, DMR and guests were joined by tournament competitors, including Lucas Bjerregaard and Paul Waring.
DMR events manager, Hannah Pownall: “Both hospitality and golf are at the very core of our business. To entertain a selection of clients across the last two days in such stunning surroundings is our way of saying thank you for their constant support.”
