Jurek Piasecki takes on MD role and Charlotte Cherrie wins promotion.
Watch and jewellery distributor Nuval has brought in Deso founder Mark Sutcliffe as sales director as it implements a management reshuffle following the departure of former managing director Neil Duckworth.
Nuval’s owner and principal shareholder Jurek Piasecki has officially taken on the role of managing director after stepping in to lead the business after Duckworth’s exit. He will now be responsible for the future strategic growth of the company.
Sutcliffe will be respsonsible for sales of all Nuval brands but will also personally focus on the development of luxury watch brand Carl F Bucherer.
Before founding Deso in 2002, which distributed Maurice Lacroix, Graham London, Arnold & son and Parmigiani watches, Sutcliffe worked for Mappin & Webb, Duval and LVMH.
On the existing management team, Charlotte Cherrie has been promoted internally to brand manager, while Richard Darling will continue to act as commercial director and company secretary responsible for financial management and stock control.
Nuval is also planning to open a London showroom in addition to its Birmingham head office. The distributor is now handling six brands in the UK: TechnoMarine, Phillip Stein, Fruitz, Metal CH, Carl F Bucherer and Chimento Jewellery.
