Watchmaker joins full time after stint to strengthen brand in 2011.
Luxury Swiss watch brand Girard-Perregaux has welcomed legendary watchmaker Domonique Loiseau to its manufacture team, after he provided his watchmaking services to the brand last year.
Loiseau said of his new role: “Girard-Perregaux is a unique brand in that it is a true manufacture founded in very rich history and heritage.
“I am very excited to have become a part of this amazing team and look forward to a successful partnership.”
Loiseau was brought in by the Sowind Group, which owns Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard, in the last three months of 2011 to “strengthens the brand’s think thank”.
He has now been appointed in a permanent role, and with it is expected to bring a new and fresh perspective to the brand. He will also head up a project to develop new complications and movements.

“He is a true visionary, a legend within our world, but more importantly, he understands the values Girard-Perregaux stands for: heritage, manufacture and passion.”
Loiseau has had a career working in horology spanning more than 30 years, and have worked for himself creating the Loiseau 1f4, a recent launch and said to be the most complicated automatic watch available, with eight patents within its movement.
He also created the six Montres de Sables, the Rose de Temps clock, the Renaissance or Capriccio pocket watches and the Blancpain 1735 wristwatch.
