Domino Jewellery bolsters British-made diamond ring offer

Domino Jewellery has added 20 new British-made semi-set mount designs to its Diamond Ring Mount collection.

Building on the success of the 2018 range, launched with the #RealWomenRealJewellery campaign, the new pieces incorporate design influences that tap into both contemporary and classic styles, providing retailers with a wide selection of new styles to lift and refresh their offering.

Part of the Birmingham manufacturer’s Created & Crafted series, the new offering is 100% designed and made in Britain. The collection is core to Domino’s portfolio and the creative team have focused on ensuring that the entire range remained fresh and relevant in 2019.

The refreshed range, all designed to be ‘wed-friendly’, includes design-led halo rings and solitaires featuring delicate diamond detailed bands. Domino’s Ring Designer, Rachel Morgan, pulled inspiration from a number of key trends including art deco, floral motifs, and astronomy to create a truly unique range of designs.

Utilising Domino’s growing manufacturing capabilities, the entire range incorporates micro setting techniques, as well as a number of hand cut fishtail designs.

Domino Jewellery’s creative director, Naomi Newton-Sherlock, shares: “Diamond Ring Mounts was a huge product launch for us in 2018. Last year, we took the opportunity to really create a stunning range with excellent breadth and depth, almost from the ground up.

“We analysed our best-selling designs, invested in market research and leant heavily into the manufacturing capabilities available in our production facilities here, especially our micro-setting cell, which has grown from 2 setters to 12 in the last 18 months. The 2019 refresh is all about creative, original designs that continue to utilise our vast manufacturing capabilities.”

Designs take inspiration from key trends including art deco and floral.

Domino ring designer, Rachel Morgan, adds: “This was an absolute pleasure to create as I was able to focus on delivering on-trend design-led pieces that bridge the gap between the full collection launched in 2018 and the emerging trends of 2019.

“We are always encouraged to push boundaries at Domino and this range is no exception. As well as studying trends within the wider luxury market, we also looked at some of our existing collections, including Shaped Wedding Rings and Anthology, to understand what styles were selling well in those ranges. We applied some of those learnings to the development of this range. We think the result is a truly exciting refresh that should invigorate customer interest.”

All rings are designed and manufactured at Domino in the heart of Birmingham’s jewellery quarter, providing retailers with the confidence that they will receive Domino’s product quality and service levels, all within a competitive lead time of just 15 working days.

Melee carat weights vary from 0.04ct to 2.77ct across the range, offering retailers a large scope of price points.  All pieces are available in Platinum and 18ct white, yellow and rose gold set with a choice of HSi or GVs diamonds.

New additions to the line are both contemporary and classic.
