EC One will host the 2014 edition of its Open Call event on May 18, inviting designers to show their collections to its buyers.

Pitch collections to buyers and gain advice from shop’s goldsmiths.

Independent London retailer EC One has announced the return of its Open Call event, where jewellery designers are invited to pitch their collections to its buyers, while gaining advice on design and manufacture.

EC One will host the 2014 edition of Open Call at its Exmouth Market shop on Sunday May 18. The event has been relaunched due to popular demand, with the shop promising that this year’s Open Call will be "bigger and better" than before.


Designers are asked to apply to the Open Call in advance of May 18 to get a time slot and find out what they need to bring. On the day, they will meet EC One buyers Alison Skeates and Charlotte Kimber.

Alison Skeates said: "This is a unique opportunity to meet EC One’s buyers. Designers can bring their work for feedback and advice on how to move forward, as well as tips on how best to approach potential stockists.

"There will also a chance to meet EC One founder Jos Skeates and head goldsmith Jude Huntley, who will be on hand to help with any technical questions around manufacturing and costs."

Designers attending the event can also gain advice on working with retailers, with a chance to discuss sales and merchandising with EC One shop manager Maia Corduan.
