FACETS PR Fairtrade

Jewellery specialist PR and marketing agency FACETS PR is to host the UK’s first press launch to promote Fairtrade jewellery.

Taking place on October 15 in London, this major press launch will include special guest speakers representing Fairtrade Africa, including a mineworker who will be able to talk first hand about the positive differences that Fairtrade mining can bring.  Other speakers include Alan Frampton of Cred Jewellery, Judith Lockwood of Fairtrade gold brand Arctic Circle Diamonds and ethical entrepreneur Liz Earle MBE.

Assay Office Birmingham, who designed the Fairtrade Gold hallmark, will also be attending the event, along with British ethical manufacturer Hockley Mint, who was the first jewellery manufacturing company to champion the use of Fairtrade precious metals.

“There are still opportunities for jewellery brands and designers who would like to promote their use of Fairtrade precious metals to take part in this launch event,” says Sarah Carpin. “This press launch forms part of our on-going campaign to promote Fairtrade jewellery to British consumers, on behalf of our clients and partners.

Facets PR hosted a press trip to visit an artisanal gold mine in Tanzania last month (pictured), which will shortly achieve full Fairtrade status, and gained extensive coverage on international television, radio, online and press reports.

Facets PR, who are a Gold Partner of the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 this year, have recently expanded their team, building on the success of this specialist agency for the jewellery world.

Recently rebranding as Facets PR, after four years as CMJ Media, the company has expanded its team and client portfolio. The specialist agency now represents 16 clients, which include fine jewellers David Marshall London and Marco Bicego; Danish fashion jewellery brands Endless Jewelry and Sif Jakobs; popular jewellery brands Clogau and Diamonfire; British designer-maker Alexis Dove and new designer brand biiju; family jewellers SWAG and Canadian fully-traceable diamond brand Arctic Circle Diamonds.
