Family owned and run jeweller, F Hinds, has opened a new store in Bath city centre at 15 Union Street.

The new store is the 115th to be opened by the jeweller and has created six new jobs for the local community.

Utilising the newest developments in the F Hinds brand, all new staff will be trained to existing standards to ensure first class customer service.

The store will offer a wide range of diamonds, jewellery, branded watches, and gifts for every age, taste, and occasion.

Popular services such as jewellery and watch repairs and servicing, watch battery replacements, insurance, “gold for cash”, and valuations will also be available.

F Hinds previously opened their first store in Bath in 1949, almost a century after the company began operations in 1856.

The previous store was also located on Union Street, three doors up from the store which has just opened its doors.

The business has been searching for a suitable new unit to trade in since the old shop closed in 1987.

Talking about the store opening, director and diamond buyer at F Hinds, Andrew Hinds, said: “We are delighted to be back in Bath after a gap of 35 years.

“We first had a shop in Bath in 1949 and traded successfully for almost 40 years, so we are delighted to be able to return to serve the city once again.

“As a family business established in 1856, we pride ourselves not only on our wide range of diamonds, gold and fashion jewellery, top watch brands, and other gifts, but also on the individual service we give each of our customers, many of whom become like family friends over the years.

“As a national retailer, we have the buying power to offer excellent value for money, but as a qualified gemmologist, I am proud to be able to individually hand-select each of the certificated diamonds that we sell and to know that we have been able to help generations of our customers to celebrate the most special occasions in their lives.”
