Dutch brand’s founder pays a visit to UK distribution team.
Dutch entrepreneur Batul Loomans, founder of Buddha to Buddha jewellery, this week dropped in to see his UK distributor Fable Trading where he held a meditation session for staff.
Loomans is said to be “renowned” for his meditation sessions and was inspired to launch his brand after a deep conversation, known as a Buddha to Buddha, during a meditation holiday in 1997.
After launching the brand for fun with a range of silver men’s and women’s jewellery his offering soon became a serious business concept.
Fable Trading co-director Richard Moorfoot said; “We were really thrilled to welcome Batul to our headquarters here in Bristol.
“The meditation session was something we all enjoyed and it made a big difference to our normal working day. It was inspirational to share Batul’s outlook on life and to hear about the creation of Buddha to Buddha which has become very popular with many international celebrities.”
The Buddha to Buddha brand has already secured 20 UK stockists having been launched at The Jewellery Show at Spring Fair in February.
Loomans said: “The pieces we create are designed to be timeless and appeal to all ages. We believe in working hard but also having fun and this ethos is expressed in the jewellery.”
Currently the collection features more than a hundred different types of bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces, all individual handmade pieces crafted in sterling silver by artisans from the Indonesian island of Bali. Selected pieces feature semi-precious stones and leather.
