Specialist PR and marketing agency for the jewellery and watch industry, Facets PR, has announced that its annual turnover has increased from £584k to £892k, a rise of almost 53% year-on-year.

On the back of its success for the 2015/16 financial year, Facets PR has forecast ambitious sales and turnover targets in its business plan, with an income projection of £1.31m for the current year, rising to £2.7m in five years at the current level of growth. This would represent a sales growth of almost 47% for this financial year and 73% over five years.

Facets PR was set up by the Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) in 2011. Headed up by director Sarah Carpin, the London-based team has grown to include nine permanent members of staff and represents more than 20 brands in the UK including Clogau, Marco Bicego,Trollbeads and Sif Jakobs Jewellery.


Speaking at the CMJ Group’s AGM on Sunday August 7, when the financial results were announced, CMJ financial director Andrew Hirshman said: “With the team they have in place, led by the very experienced Sarah Carpin, and the robust business plan for Facets PR, the future looks bright.”

In the past 12 months, the Facets PR team has pioneered several important initiatives and projects in the UK. Among these was a trip to Tanzania to visit artisanal gold mines en route to Fairtrade accreditation and hosting the UK’s first Fairtrade jewellery press conference, highlighting the burgeoning supply of Fairtrade gold from East Africa. The team has also worked on PR for the Hatton Garden BID, helping to drive awareness and positivity among the trade regarding the BID campaign and reposition Hatton Garden as a vibrant, forward-thinking and attractive Jewellery Quarter in London and hosted a Couture at Claridges fine jewellery event. Later this year, the agency will be hosting a jewellery showroom at London Fashion Week for the first time.
