Italian brand to offer colourful timepieces for less than £30.

Italian fashion watch brand Playwatch will launch in the UK next month, after a successful formative three years in its home country.

The brand was launched in Sardinia by the leading Sardinian entrepreneur and jeweller, Alberto Piras. It is said to have taken the Italian watch market by storm, and its makers claims the “phenomenon is spreading quickly” through Europe.

The timepieces will be available to UK retailers next month, and will be distributed through Access VIP.

The watches are described as offering an Italian-style collection of square-shaped, silicone watches, available in 20 colours.

The watches have a quartz movement, a two year warranty, weigh 50g and are water resistant to 300m. They retail at £28 and have interchangeable straps, which can be bought separately with an RRP of £8.50.
