The final branch of historic jeweller Waltons is set to close its doors for the final time after opening in 1935.

Waltons Wrexham has operated for more than 85 years, while the business was founded in Chester in 1909.

Now the very last Waltons branch will shut its doors after a £2 million closing-down sale.

All Waltons Wrexham products will have 50% off in the closing-down sale, the company revealed.

The sale will begin at 10am on Saturday 29 January, 2022, with no word yet on when the store will close for the final time.

NorthWalesLive quoted managing director Richard Hogben as saying: “On behalf of the Waltons team I can say that it’s been an absolute privilege and a pleasure to be part of the lives of so many wonderful patrons over the years.

“The closure of this final Waltons branch has come as a shock to many of our loyal customers.

“We hope that our fabulous closing-down sale will offer an opportunity for shoppers to head in and select one last Waltons piece.

“We look forward to saying our last goodbyes to customers old and new over the next few weeks, before we close the doors of our Wrexham store for the final time.”

Late last year the retailer’s flagship Chester branch also closed its doors. Read more below:
