Hatton Garden-based  Jacqui Larsson Fine Jewellery has been providing clients with a special gifting wrapping option this Christmas.

Eponymous brand founder and award winning gemmolosist, Jacqui Larsson, has been offering clients buying gifts for Christmas the option to have pieces prepared in a cracker.

The bespoke Christmas crackers come complete with a snap, paper crown, and cheesy joke.

Jacqui Larsson tells Professional Jeweller: “It is a truly unexpected, heartfelt surprise at the table.”

Jacqui Larsson Fine Jewellery bespoke crackers.

“A lot of thought went into the design,” she continues. “You will notice some little trees circling the cracker at either end. They are no ordinary trees – the inspiration is a carob tree. Prior to the advent of modern day scales, stone traders used dried seeds from the carob pod as a counter measure when weighing stones to be sold, as they reliably weighed 0.2g. Over time, the word “carob” became “carat”, so this humble Mediterranean tree is inextricably linked to the heritage of gemstone trading. A little gold star perches on top. Simple, but elegant.”

Jacqui Larsson has been producing bespoke jewellery since 2006.

Larsson is based in Hatton Garden and sells her pieces from an online boutique.
