Former Made in Chelsea star, Spencer Matthews, has launched a bespoke luxury diamond jewellery business, which aims to offer high quality pieces without “unreasonable” mark-ups.
The reality TV personality turned businessman was inspired to start his own jewellery firm, ‘Eden Rocks’, when working with jeweller to the stars Neil Duttson on the engagement ring for his now-wife, Vogue Williams.
Matthews was so impressed with how Duttson took him on a journey from idea to final product that he decided to team up with the jeweller to form a business.
As a digital business, Eden Rocks has no expensive retail or marketing overheads – with customers getting in touch through the company’s Instagram page and website – and is therefore is able to offer top-quality bespoke diamond jewellery at attractive price points.
Spencer Matthews explains: “Creating Vogue’s engagement ring opened my eyes to the diamond business and their margins. Men are spending up to three month’s wages on the ring, but a large part of that is going towards the store’s marketing and packaging and not the diamond itself.
“Neil knows everything there is to know about diamonds and can source superior stones from the same mines as the industry’s most luxurious brands. We design each piece together, offering a bespoke jewellery experience where we bring our clients’ ideas to life.”
Eden Rocks has already designed jewellery for a number of celebrities including Celebrity Big Brother host Emma Willis, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, and tennis superstar Serena Williams.
Working with the expert London-based Eden Rocks design team, clients select the stone, setting and band to create a hand-made, truly unique piece.
With low overheads, Eden Rocks says it can create jewels without the same mark-ups as leading brands.
