Fossil Group's memberships with Houlden and The CMJ will expire next month.

Stefano Abbati has departed his role as managing director of Fossil Italia to take on new challenges with Nardelli Luxury and its new watch and jewellery brand, Liu Jo Luxury.

The 53-year-old has will act as vice president of the company, founded by Bruno Nardelli, and will work to grow its partnership with fashion brand Liu Jo.

Abbati started his career in mass market companies, such as Granarolo and Ferrero, before moving to Binda Group and Fossil.


He will work alongside Nardelli to develop a strategy to grow Liu Jo Luxury and develop license agreements globally. He will also complete his duties alongside general manager Salvatore Francavilla and sales manager Paolo Innocenti.

Mr Nardelli commented: “The entry into the team of Stefano Abbati is an important element in the strategy of consolidation of the company. Abbati is a recognised landmark in the watch industry and is one of the most knowledgeable of the licensing market.”

Abbati added: “After ten years in a multinational company, I felt the need to pursue new personal and professional challenges by focusing on a really unique in the Italian fashion watchmaking. Liu Jo Luxury in distribution of our industry is the Italian fashion brand that best represents creativity, originality, imagination own Italian Design.
