Four arrested for Frinton jewellery store robbery


Police nab thieves 20 miles away from heist on the very same day.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the raid of a luxury costume and jewellery hire shop in Frinton.

The robbery took place on Wednesday at Rocks ‘n’ Frocks, which specialises in renting out designer evening wear, accessories and jewellery. The arrests were made in the afternoon of the same day.

A Cartier watch and a diamond solitaire ring, each valued at around £6,000, were snatched in the heist.

Three men were arrested in Colchester town centre, 20 miles from where the robbery took place.

There have been listed as a 19-year-old from Loughton, a 21-year-old from Ipswich and a 19-year-old from Colchester.

A fourth man was arrested later on suspicion of assisting an offender. They are being questioned by Essex Police.

It is not known whether the £20,000 worth of goods was recovered.
