Italian jewellery brand Gismondi 1754 is launching its latest line for autumn and winter 2020, the Genesi collection.
Like the word ‘Genesis’ after which it is named, the collection, the brand says, is “suggestive of creation and a force of nature”.
The Genesi collection consists of rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets in rose gold and white diamonds along with pieces including white ceramic accents.
The brand revealed in a statement: “The new collection brings together all the elements of nature, the wonder of a genetic code that is repeated throughout nature.”
In Genesi, that is expressed with logarithmic shapes representing the helix prehistoric shells
These spirals include a path of white diamonds bordering each golden turn.
Speaking on the reason for his use of nautilus shells, CEO and creative director, Massimo Gismondi, said: “I marveled in the perfection of its shape and its power,
repeated a multitude of times in nature from galaxies to petals or seeds of the sunflowers in a range of sizes and proportions.”
