Jewellery brand Tiffany & Co has signed tennis star Emma Raducanu as a new brand ambassador.

The news comes after a rumoured race from a number of luxury brands to sign the teen winner of the US Open.

Professional Jeweller‘s sister title, WatchPro, wondered whether the 18-year-old would sign with Rolex or another watch brand.

Ultimately though, the UK’s first female Grand Slam winner in over four decades, Raducanu joins a number of famous faces at Tiffany & Co.

In a tweet announcing the news the tennis player wrote: “Very excited to join the iconic @tiffanyandco family as a House Ambassador. Being able to wear these special jewellery pieces over the past few weeks has been an honour!”

Other brand ambassadors include Anya Taylor-Joy, K-pop star Rosé and, amid controversy, husband-and-wife duo Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
