Jewellery supplier Gecko is spreading Christmas cheer with a sack full of free value-added services, designed to support retailers and ensure that they secure as many sales as possible this festive season.

Gecko retailers can help consumers surprise and delight their loved ones with a personalised engraved message on their jewellery this Christmas, including initials, messages of love and even images.

This can be achieved on a large number of pieces in the jewellery wholesalers Birthstones, Elements, D for Diamond and Fred Bennett ranges. This is a complimentary service jewellers can offer their customers.


Gecko creative director, Desiree Pringle, shares: “We launched our engraving service three years ago and it has always been incredibly popular, especially with the increase in demand for personalisation in jewellery. We recognised that this service was a valuable resource for our retailers and made the decision, two years ago, to remove the charge and provide it for free. An engraved message or image is a simple and effective way to bespoke a beautiful piece, and is a valuable add-on for our customers to provide to the consumer. And, as we use our talented in-house team, we can guarantee delivery within 3-5 days of receipt of the request, so it’s a quick turnaround too.”

Gecko provides customers with an easy to use engraving form which provides a guide on available space, suggested number of characters and font style. Once the form is complete, retailers can choose to supply a specific piece of jewellery or to simply order a new piece direct from Gecko, which is the preferred and quickest option.

“We try to make all of our processes as simple as possible for our customers,” adds Pringle. “So, we can select the desired item from our stock, engrave it with the required message and deliver it back to the retailer or straight to their customer, whichever they prefer. We also look to accommodate customers where we can if they have a specific motif or font style in mind, which is not on our standard engraving guideline. The service is designed to add value to the whole shopping experience, and provide an additional positive reason to buy.”

Retailers can order engraving right up to 5pm, Monday 17 December to have guaranteed delivery back to store or direct to customer by Christmas.
