Gemondo to launch new supplier website


Online jewellery retailer specialising invests £20k in improved site.

Gemondo, an online jewellery retailer which focuses on supplying gemstone jewellery to consumers in the UK will unveil a new website on September 7, in a drive to increase customer numbers.

The company has invested more than £20,000 in redesigning its online store which it says has been transformed to make the site more vibrant and better connected to consumers, via social media.

The company is aiming to be the world’s leading online jewellery boutique.

It has introduced new features including an improved search and filtering system to get to the products faster, a fresh and more colourful new layout, and a faster and more secure checkout system, with overall easier navigation.

Gemondo has been online for six years and says that it has already gained a strong reputation with existing customers and offers exceptional customer service. The company also offers a bespoke service, if a customer cannot find what they are looking for online.

Its current number of lines stands at 5,000 including fine designer jewellery and a selection of gemstone jewellery collections, which are designed in its own factories.

The company will also push its social networking in a bid to reach new consumers with a focus on Twitter, Facebook and blog, where it will host product promotions. The new website will also offer information and a history of jewellery, with a focus on marcasite, Celtic and men’s jewellery and advice on cleaning and care of jewellery.
