Digital marketing campaigns rewards shoppers returning to jewellers.

Gem and jewellery wholesaler Gemsone has helped retailers attract shoppers into their stores in the past month with a range of digital marketing services.

The backbone of a multi-tiered campaign was to advertise directly to existing customers of partner stores using the e-mail customer databases of those stores.

One element of the promotion saw customers enticed back into stores using a Gemsone £5,000 Shopping Spree Prize and consolation Vouchers of £75, £150 and £250.

David Gilbert, Gemsone account director, claimed that the e-mail promotion dramatically increased footfall for participating outlets in its first week. “Sent to participating retailers’ databases this week, it has caused mini tidal waves of eager customers queuing to check their scan-to-win cards and cheering when someone in line won a £150 Voucher,” he said.
