Design programme to have its world debut at London show next month.
Gemvision Europe will mark the world debut of Version 2.5 of its pioneering CounterSketch Studio design software at International Jewellery London (IJL), something it terms an “evolution in jewellery retailing”.
The company will host live demonstrations of the newest version of the design software programme as a way of showing independent retailers how they could capitalise on being able to offer bespoke designs of fine jewellery.
The award winning program is said to offer retailers an easy-to-use design service in store, which offers a major expansion of product range – more than 2,300 base models on which to design – without the overheads of holding stock.
The CounterSketch program has been created by Gemvision in partnership with global jewellery company Stuller, the largest jewellery manufacturer and distributor in North America, who create the final rings when ordered through CounterSketch.
The updated version of the CounterSketch program offers ladies and men’s rings, wedding bands and pendant designs which can be modified on screen and in 3D to customer preference.
There program is also offers live pricing throughout the design process, and – once approved by the customer – is manufactured by Stuller and delivered in 14 days or less.
A number of enhancements have been made to the 2.5 version of the program, including the ability to create exclusive designs, an ordering system for custom-designed prototypes, an enhanced search facility and personalised print catalogues.
Gemvision managing director Gary Baines said: "CounterSketch provides a virtual catalogue that can be brought to life and any member of staff [can] use the jewellery design software to create a design which is ready for production.
