GOLDEN GLOBES: High street jewellery trends land on the red carpet

Trends that have been popular on the high street dominated the red carpet last night (Jan 6) at the 76th annual Golden Globes.

During this year’s ceremony, which took place in Beverley Hills, many stars opted for layered necklaces, stacked bangles, and multiple earrings, rather than one or two statement pieces.

The ear stacking trend in particular has been on the rise in the UK, with brands adding piercing salons to boutiques in order to maximise on the movement, and last night the Golden Globes red carpet revealed the trend was not limited to the British high street.

Several stars player with cuffs, and earring adornments along the whole ear, as opposed to keeping it ‘classic’.

Furthermore, many attendees wore custom-made pieces, nodding to the increase in women looking for unique and personal pieces.

Notably, Lady Gaga wore a bespoke Tiffany & Co necklace worth £3.9m.

Luxury brands on this year’s red carpet included Tiffany & Co, Chopard, Atelier Swarovski, Forevermark, and Marco Bicego to name a few.
