Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council opens up Lifetime Achievement Award nominations for first time

The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) has called for nominations from the UK jewellery, silversmithing and allied trades for its annual Lifetime Achievement Award.

The accolade is given each year at the GC&DC’s Craftsmanship & Design Awards.

This year the council is, for the first time, calling on trade members to nominate themselves or their peers.

The award is given in recognition of a recipient’s contribution the industry, such as in lapidary, diamond mounting or enamelling.

Over the course of their lifetime they will have shown an exemplary dedication to their profession, the GC&DC revealed.

Nominations will be considered by the council based on the information provided and suitability for the award.

The winner will be announced at the 2020/21 GC&DC Awards Ceremony in spring 2021.

To nominate an individual, find a nomination form on the council’s website. The deadline is at midnight, 01 November 2020.
