The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) is asking for nominations for its 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award.

It opens up the nominations process to the jewellery, silversmithing and allied trades from Monday, 11 October 2021.

Nominations can be submitted via the GC&DC website from Monday. The closing date is midnight on 31 October 2021.

Nominees must be UK-based but GC&DC Council and team members and deceased nominees are not eligible.

The accolade is given in recognition of a recipient’s contribution and commitment to UK craft and the industry of silversmithing, jewellery and allied trades, such as lapidary, diamond mounting, engraving or enamelling.

Over the course of their lifetime, they will have shown an exemplary dedication to their profession.

The award is sponsored by British manufacturer, Thomas Fattorini, which produces a specially designed silver medal for presentation to the recipient.
