The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) is accepting final entries to its competition, The Goldsmiths’ Craftsmanship & Design Awards 2022.

The final date for online entries is this Sunday, 9 January 2022, the GC&DC revealed.

The annual awards reward excellence in technical skills and creative design in precious metals and related materials and is open to all in the jewellery, silversmithing and allied trades.

The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council, which operates the competition, actively encourages established craft persons and designers in the industry, as well as apprentices and students, to enter their work.

For 2022, the awards comprises 33 competition categories, three new patron awards and a new special council bursary. Further details and category briefs can be found on the GC&DC website.

Key dates for the 2022 competition are as follows:

  • 9 January: Online entry deadline for ALL entries
  • 25-27 January: All 3D entries only submission and post-in days at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in London
  • 28 February: Awards ceremony at The Goldsmiths’ Hall, London
  • 1-4 March: Awards Exhibition at The Goldsmiths’ Hall, London
