Graff expands retail presence in Monte Carlo

Luxury house Graff has expanded its retail presence in Monte Carlo with a second store in the region.

Situated in the exclusive Hotel de Paris, in the heart of Monaco, the new 210sq m space will include two salons, a VIP room, and an area devoted to the brand’s extraordinary timepieces for men and women.

Complementing the existing Nero Saint Laurent marble façade – a precious black stone with white veins running through it – are striking bronze accents, including a bespoke Graff door handle engraved with the luxury house’s icon motifs.

The same attention to detail has been paid to the polished interiors, which are inspired by the new Peter Marino-designed concept store in Bal Harbour, Florida.

Known for his use of noble natural materials and “couture” sensibility, influences of the celebrated architect Marino can be felt throughout, from the luxurious Portland stone flooring with Green Valsaccents – an ancient green stone with a unique banded appearance – to the original furnishings.

A hero aesthetic in the store is two spectacular ceiling chandeliers designed by Mark Brazier-Jones, comprised of thousands of sparkling glass cabochons. These dominate the two main salons.

Other unique touches includes bespoke textured wall coverings and handmade rugs of silk, wool and sisal.

In the VIP room, the walls are adorned with square panels of pale green parchment, hand-painted in three different shades of celadon. The warm and inviting atmosphere is further enhanced by side lamps crafted from rock crystal, generous club chairs in a complementary shade of aqua green and freestanding vitrines in burnished bronze, displaying Graff’s most spectacular new creations.
