Gemological Science International (GSI) has announced the appointment of Alethea Inns as its new chief learning officer.
This comes as GSI looks to up its commitment to ongoing education programs, courses and tools for the trade and consumers.
Inns has studied with McMaster University, the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and GIA.
She has spent her career specialising in the theory and practice of diamond grading, coloured diamonds, and coloured stone identification.
She also boasts experience expanding education, course offerings, and gemological knowledge to members of the industry.
GSI is one of the largest gemological organisations in the world, founded in New York in 2005 and now spanning four continents.
It provides manufacturers and retailers globally with a wide range of gemstone identification and grading services.
