The Hatton Garden Business Improvement District (BID) is calling on members of the Hatton Garden community to complete a survey on workshop conditions, rents, terms and conditions in the area. 

Having identified the availability of affordable workshop premises for jewellers in Hatton Garden as an issue, the BID team now aims to “put together a bank of evidence around the terms and conditions, tenure and rent arrangements under which workshop occupiers are operating”.

This information will then be used to advocate for better affordable and appropriate workshop spaces, especially in terms of engaging with developers and public agencies.


A call to action says: “If you are a jewellery workshop occupier in Hatton Garden or the surrounding area, we would be grateful if you would complete our questionnaire by following the link below, which should only take 10 minutes of your time. All information provided will be confidential and the details of individual questionnaire returns will not be made public.

“Your contribution to the research is greatly appreciated, and we thank you for your time. All submissions will be entered into a prize draw, with the chance to win £100 of High Street vouchers which can be spent in a wide range of high street stores.”
