The former AMC Diamonds facility in Antwerp comes with 13 employees, plus relevant machines and technology.

Two thirds of HB Antwerp’s workforce now consist of technicians such as diamond polishers, software and mechanical engineers.

In the coming months, the company will be recruiting for more technical roles.

Margaux Donckier, communications and external affairs director at HB Antwerp, commented: “With this acquisition, HB Antwerp confirms its ambition to bring the diamond polishing process back to Antwerp in its entirety by combining the typical Antwerp savoir-faire with the latest techniques in the field of laser technology, blockchain and AI.”
