The I Do collection by British jeweller Glenn Spiro is perhaps one of the most unusual engagement ring launches of the year.
The bright blue colour of the metal is created by anodising titanium – not your average engagement ring metal. But then again, unorthodox was exactly what Spiro and his son Joseph were going for when they sat down to work on the collection, which is their first collaboration.
The collection, which launched exclusively at Harrods earlier this year, turns traditional diamond solitaire styles into pieces of truly extraordinary jewellery. As well as creating this magnificent blue colour, titanium can also be used to offer shades of cognac, green and pink.
Within the collection are large round diamonds, pear cuts, marquise-cut and emerald-cut diamonds.
“Engagement rings are designed to mark an incredibly special occasion, but they’ve become quite uniform,” says Spiro. “We wanted to create something much more surprising and unique.”
