Former Clogau sales and operations manager, Kevan Jenkinson, has joined British casting specialist and fine jewellery manufacturer, Hockley Mint, as its new sales director.

He starts the role today.

The jewellery industry stalwart will work on Hockley Mint’s key accounts and enhancing best practice across the business, both nationally and interntionally.

Jenkinson previously spent 14 years with Welsh jewellery brand, Clogau. During his tenure he saw the business grow from a small brand into a recognisable name on the British High Street.

He will now work to create new sales strategies for Hockley Mint, also assisting managing director Gary Wroe with his wealth of industry experience.

Wroe commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Kevan to the Hockley Mint team and I have no doubt his tremendous experience across sales and operations will be an asset to not only our sales team, but our business as a whole.

“As retail begins to reopen and with an end to social distancing restrictions on the horizon, now is the ideal time to take stock and look to the future.”

Both the Hockley Mint and Merrell Casting teams offer a full spectrum of services from finished jewellery collections, mounts and bespoke pieces to casting, rapid prototyping and CAD design.

Jenkinson said: “I was looking for a new challenge, so when this role at Hockley Mint was presented to me, I believed it was a fantastic opportunity.

“This role will allow me to draw on my knowledge and experience to support the existing sales team and to re-evaluate sales strategies for both Hockley Mint and the Merrell Casting side of the business.

“My short-term goals will be to focus on best practice techniques and work with Hockley Mint’s customers and retail partners in this crucial time post-lockdown.”
