Birmingham fine and bridal jewellery manufacturer Hockley Mint has appointed former Hot Diamonds employee, Andrew Mills, as its new national sales manager.

Andrew Mills starts with Hockley Mint today (April 30 2018) and will be responsible for all the company’s sales, client relationships and new business.

Hockley Mint managing director, Gary Wroe, shares: “We are delighted to be welcoming Andrew into the team and are confident that with his wide experience and passion for jewellery and manufacturing, he will be a strong asset to the business and will be key to developing sales in all areas. We look forward to him joining us.”

Mills joined the jewellery industry in 1995 as a sales executive at bridal manufacturer Brown & Newirth. In 2006 he and his wife, an award-winning jewellery designer, bought a small jewellery wholesale business, which she still runs today. Mills then moved to CW Sellors as wholesale sales manager before joining Hot Diamonds, in 2014, where he joined as brand manager and was most recently head of sales.

On joining Hockley Mint, Mills commnets: “I’ve always been impressed by Hockley Mint and Merrell Casting as they are innovative businesses and, in my opinion, the leading British manufacturers in our industry. I’ve followed their impressive progress over the years and always felt that they would be terrific businesses to be involved in and that I could add value to them. Having known some of the team for many years I could see a really interesting and positive long-term vision, with huge potential for developing new ideas and strategies. It’s a very proactive culture and I can see us all achieving great success.”
