Hockley Mint has launched a jewellery design competition in an effort to support of young talent in the industry.
The launch is to mark the company’s 25th anniversary and will see jewellery designers invited to design a unique, statement piece of silver jewellery that “represents Hockley Mint’s standing in the industry”.
The competition will officially launch at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham in February and entries will be judged by an industry team selected by Hockley Mint. The winning piece will be cast by Hockley Mint and unveiled at the International Jewellery London show in September.
Gary Wroe, managing director of Hockley Mint, said: “We have always been keen to support young talent in the industry through our involvement in apprenticeship schemes and training programmes.
“To mark Hockley Mint’s 25th anniversary year, and to demonstrate the unparalleled extent of services we offer as a jewellery manufacturer, we are looking forward to welcoming entries from the talented up-and-coming designers we are lucky to have in this industry.”
