Third party audit confirms Birmingham-firm follows 2013 COP.

The Responsible Jewellery Council has today (April 23) announced that Hockley Mint Ltd has achieved Certification against the new 2013 Code of Practices (COP) at its jewellery manufacturing facility in Birmingham.

The RJC’s chief operations officer Catherine Sproule, commented: “It is a pleasure to announce Hockley Mint Ltd has been certified against the 2013 COP. The new provisions under the 2013 COP address important issues for our members and their supply chain. We are thrilled to see members achieving these early Certifications against the new standard and warmly congratulate Hockley Mint Ltd.”


The successful verification assessment was led by Peter Warbrick from SGS United Kingdom Limited, one of the independent third-party auditing firms accredited by the RJC.

Hockley Mint managing director Gary Wroe commented: “Hockley Mint Ltd is extremely proud to have achieved RJC Certification. The accomplishment confirms the commitment Hockley Mint is working towards to ensure responsible and ethical business practises.
