This Morning TV presenter Holly Willoughby won a diamond donated by Berry’s Jewellers at a glitzy gala hosted by British children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
The star won a half-carat diamond at the start of the night but decided not to keep it for herself.
Instead she donated it to a couple battling with cancer.
The diamond was donated by Berry’s Jewellers Windsor branch, which Willoughby won after finding a golden ticket in her gift bag.
Event organiser, Lucy Butcher, tells Hello! Magazine: “The event – called A Very British Affair – was an intimate evening. There were 180 guests and we had lots of amazing celebrities and musicians that came and donated their time to support the work we do with young cancer sufferers.
“As you walked in, there were little boxes of chocolate that guests could buy and inside one of the boxes was a golden ticket – the diamond. It just so happened that Holly Willoughby won it.”
The couple were “blown away” by the stars gesture.
Lucy Butcher said Willoughby simply walked up to the couple and told them she would rather they had the diamond she had won.
