Group to host two-day shop selling precious metal collections.

A group of graduate students from Holts Academy are set to run a pop-up shop in London this week, selling hand-crafted silver and fine jewellery directly to the public.

The shop will be held at the Holts Academy building on Farringdon Road in London, opening on Thursday December 12 and running until 7pm on December 13.

The students selling their work have studied jewellery diplomas at Holts for at least two years, and will present work made using precious metals and gemstones, from classic designs to wholly contemporary pieces.

Those visiting the pop-up will be give a Christmas drink and can try their hand at making a basic pendant for free.

Holts Academy principle and director Lee Lucas said: “We are so proud of our students who are set for great things in the jewellery industry. Come and see for yourself the exquisite jewellery that they have worked so hard to create. This is a fabulous opportunity to buy or commission a unique piece of jewellery that will last for years, from the extremely talented big names of the future.”

Next year Holts Academy of Jewellery will celebrate its 15th anniversary. To date it has trained more than 7,000 people to give them the essential skills required to enter the industry through accredited vocational qualifications.
