This Business Big Shot is the bubbly powerhouse behind Ti Sento.

With less than a week to go until nominations close for the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2012 in association with The Company of Master Jewellers and supported by gold partner Ti Sento, we look back to the leading lights of the jewellery industry who made it into the Hot 100 2011. Today we profile IBB Amsterdam UK sales manager Judith Wade whose stellar work building up brand Ti Sento made her a CMJ Business Big Shot.

“My motto is more lipgloss and higher heels,” jokes Judith Wade, the woman who has helped push IBB Amsterdam’s Ti Sento to the fore in the UK.

But don’t let her frippery fool you; motorbike-loving Judith’s business nous teamed with her enthusiasm for the jewellery brand and warm, welcoming presence have made her a one-woman brand powerhouse, and a much respected and well-liked businesswomen.

At The Jewellery Show in February, Judith orchestrated one of the most talked-about presences at the exhibition with the Ti Sento and Charming stands, which were the biggest the show had ever had. Judith then packed the stands up and took them to BaselWorld where she hand-picked future stockists of the brand. “Kevin Costner famously said in Field of Dreams – ‘If I build it they will come.’ And boy did they come,” she remembers.

Never one to rest on her laurels, Judith is constantly mystery shopping retailers that sell Ti Sento jewellery. “Reviewing what we do is a constant process,” she says. “We listen to our friends in the trade to see what we are doing well with and what we can improve on.”

Despite her professional highs, the past 15 months have been a difficult period for Judith, who has lost both her parents in that time. Judith says that the sad passing of her parents has made her more aware that life is for living.

“It might be clichéd, but now there is nothing I am afraid to do, I will have a go at everything,” she says. “I might not do it well, but I will have a go.”
