Hot 100 2013 nominations now open

Nominate your industry stars for this year’s PJ Hot 100 list.

The nominations for the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2013 are now open.

This will be the fourth year that the event has been held to celebrate the UK jewellery industry’s brightest designers, brands, retailers and business people who have excelled over the past year.

Professional Jeweller is now accepting nominations from members of the jewellery industry, who can put forward individuals from the business who they believe have shown standout business prowess, product innovation or simply a forward-thinking attitude to jewellery design, retail, development or branding that has won results in the past year.

The nominations process can be used to put forward yourself, someone else from within your company or a person or people in the trade that you admire or have feel have achieved something extra special in the past 12 months.

Nominations can be made by email directly to the editorial team at Professional Jeweller, who, as always, will compile this year’s list.

The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2013, supported by Diamond partner IJL, will be revealed at an exclusive invite-only party in London in September. At the party a souvenir book will be released that is packed with intimate interviews and original photography shot especially of the Hot 100 2013.

The party – which last year welcomed 700 invite-only guests to the beautiful Art Deco Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden – will be held at a brand new central London location, continuing the tradition of the Hot 100 big reveal party being held at a new venue each year.

As in previous years the nomination process is not vote based so you only need to enter your nomination once, and all nominations will be considered by the Professional Jeweller editorial team, which retains the right to the final decision.

Once the decision has been made we will contact each of this year’s Hot 100 to tell them of their inclusion and arrange the photograph and interview.

The Hot 100 is split into five industry-led categories: Retail Stars, Business Big Shots, Trendsetters, Trailblazers and NexGems, a category for emerging design talent.

The Hot 100 2013 list is kept entirely secret until its unveiling at the invite-only Hot 100 party on September 3, during IJL.

The nomination process is easy to do, and you can nominate yourself, a colleague or another industry champion. To nominate simply email with the subject line HOT 100 NOMINATION. The email must contain the following information:

  • Name/s, job title/s and company name/s of those being nominated
  • A bullet point list of reasons why they should be considered for this year’s Hot 100, focusing only on events from the past 12 months. For example: business growth, store expansion, new product development, effective new strategies, personal contribution to the jewellery industry, etc.
  • Nominations will close at midnight on May 10.
