When Bec Astley Clarke founded her business, her intention was to create a world-class destination for celebrating colour and gemstones in fine jewellery.
Setting out on her journey with a carefully curated selection of designer jewellers, she admits to having never dreamt that Astley Clarke would become the go-to brand it is today.
“This last year has been our first as a multi-channel brand, and the opportunities for continued growth are very exciting,” she enthuses. “It means we can expand into the wholesale channel, and in particular grow our already international footprint.”
In fact, Bec has somewhat of an international footprint herself, now spending the majority of her time in Umbria in Italy. “Where relaxation is concerned, there is nothing I enjoy more than being outside in my garden in Italy with my children and my husband.
A glass of prosecco in hand doesn’t go amiss either!” she laughs. A self-confessed workaholic, Bec never stays away from her emails for long, however, and it is surely this dedication that has sealed Astley Clarke’s success. New initiatives are always in the pipeline to drive the business forward.
“We have long been champions of the single stud earring trend, and our recent collections offer our customers a wide selection of single earrings that they can mix and match in any way they desire. We also pioneered stacking rings and are thrilled to see the new ‘banding’ movement taking hold with the launch of our new Interstellar collection, where rings are worn stacked sideways across the fingers,” she explains.
“Meanwhile, investing in our design team has allowed us to explore our own interpretation of how to make fine jewellery relevant to millennials as well as our existing core demographic.”
