Helen Haddow was promoted to chief executive of Houlden Group today, and her first announcement was the assignment of specific roles to the buying group’s executive board.

Jamieson & Carry’s Chris Carry becomes buying director; Keane’s Patrick Keane is Training director; Keith Gill, owner of Robert Gatward is responsible for membership; and Ashley Pugh of W Bruford takes on business development.

Stuart Laing, who is using the next two years to manage succession for the group from his leadership to the new team, will manage marketing until a new director is appointed.

A new chairman will be selected this year. All Houlden members are invited to apply to join a shortlist that already includes members of the executive board, Ms Haddow told Professional Jeweller on the sidelines of the Houlden Members’ Day.
